So this has to be a showcase of how violence changes men. And why are men violent. This requires serious studying. Also, this has to be the most realistic, most brutal, graphic and over the top while 100 percent rooted in world as it is today.
Think Bourne Trilogy meets The Heat meets old B-Movies like Commando meets the good Crank Bits meets Unforgiven meets Scarface meets Death Wish.

Our hero has a safe place in his dreams. Why does he go and hunt Callahan down? The classic ´they killed my family´ trick? More like old friend. He has no family. Just sister. She will be killed too, with her child, unexpectedly. The story has to pull all the punches.
Callahan will be the meanest son of the bitch, which will highly contrast with the idealistic young friend of our hero from their days back.
´I think where we went wrong.´
Callahan maybe unable to help raped woman when in Somalia, then getting almost killed, horribly disfigured, lived through..has to have a good, realistic story of how he went over to the dark side.
